May 2002 Rides

28 May: Bethel PM race. Wet out. Tried to break away a few times to no avail. The Ridgefield and Bethel teams were not letting it happen. Pretty fast pace, someone said last week there was a breakaway pack and they were not going to let it happen again this week.

26 May: Gimbel's ride. Felt very good on the ride. First one down the big hill after the "steps" climb to Chappaqua.

25 May: Rode up to do part of the Housatonic race course near Danbury with Alan. Rode up above Candlewood Lake. Got a little lost and rode on a road with too much traffic, but finally made it back through Bethel.

23 May: Sound Cyclist ride up through New Canaan. Lots of fun with Dave, Brian, and company.

21 May: Early morning ride up to the Saugatuck Resevoir. Very nice morning.

18 May: Assault on Mt. Mitchell. Me at the top.

12 May: Bear Mountain Race. Rainy Rainy Rainy. Hit pothole second lap - TWO flats! Drats.

11 May: Sterling Road Race. Mechanical - DNF! Bah humbug.

5 May: Bike NY.

4 May: Boston 200K.
