August 23-27: The 14 annual Paris-Brest-Paris Randonnee

August 18: After work ride up to Ridefield and down Rt. 33. Rode down 33 very strong.

August 15: Tour of the Hamptons Century. Rode it in 6 1/2 hours with some "Early Bird" riders and my father. We had several flats. Kind of rainy out in the beginning and overcast all day - perfect weather for a bike ride!

August 14: Rode around LI - up to Coram, over to Yaphank then Manorville and into Bellport. Ominous clouds hovered above but I beat the rain.

August 8: Rode up to Ridgefield and down Rt. 33

August 7: Rode up to Ridgefield and down Rt. 33.

August 2: SBRA early bird ride. Again we went out to Hampton Bays. I only made it as far as the Ponquoge bridge where I banged up my front wheel and knee in a shifting misshap. Got a good ride in, however. Very hot and soggy out.

August 1: Down on LI. Rode out to Bald Hill, over to Yaphand, out to Manorville, then down into Bellport. Nice day out. Still very humid though. Camelbak to the rescue.
