The City Aflame
Rounding a corner, guests approach a merry band of musician pirates.
They stand outside a barn door, singing their rollicking theme “A Pirate’s
Life For Me”, and a donkey and dog bray and bark along to the song.
Turning the corner, we see that their fun may be a bit more sinister
than we first suspected - the entire town is in flames and burning to the
ground. A Pirate's Life For Me thunders over the rooftops, being sung by
almost every pirate in this scene.
Two pirates stand, arm in arm, waving lit torches. Another
stands with one foot in an unsteadily afloat rowboat, in his arms a treasure
chest overflowing with riches, and a dozen hats balanced precariously on
his head, swaying from side to side.
A pirate sits, covered with mud, in the center of a pigpen. In one hand
he holds a bottle of beer. All around his legs are pigs laying in the mud,
seemingly unaware of what's going on around them, oinking in delight to the
theme.
The guests pass under a bridge, atop of which a pirate sits with a jug
of alcohol, one leg hanging over the bridge. Nearby a parrot is perched,
singing a cockney version of "Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Parrot's Life For Me!", then
shouting: “Another parcel of rum fer old Hans!”
