Classical Guitars

I have an old Gomez by Gomez that just sings

There's quite a few classic guitar makers out there. Some of them can be quite expensive. Surprisingly so, some are priced in the professional violin category. While these are really fine guitars, I love my good ole Gomez. The sound of the Gomez may not project like the others, but, to me, this guitar sounds really warm, with a nice fat bottom. It is surprisngly balanced.

I've notice that many string makers now offer high tension strings. Definitely not for my Gomez. If you have an old classical, be sure to specify traditional tension strings. Some of the resellers, I've delt with, have inadvertently sent me high tension strings. These are made for the newer classicals; never, never, string an older classical with the newer high tension strings.
