A ten-group, thirty-member committee has been hand selected to serve as Chairman-Elect Nesbitt’s transition team. The team, which gathered in early October, will assess and gather data of employee relations for the Chairman-Elect regarding comprehensive financial reform, infrastructure, public safety, code enforcement, transportation, economic development and other pertinent areas that affect Rockdale County. The Transition Team is being led by Corey K. Hambrick, a resident of Rockdale County. Some notables that are on the team include Retired Rockdale Fire Chief Tommy Morgan, Captain Eric Jackson, Attorney Derwin Davis, Mrs. Anika Inman, Mr. Jay Grover, Mrs. Julie Mills, Mr. Terry Moore, Mrs. Katie Vaughn and Mr. A Nick Brown – all productive and commendable citizens.

We clearly have the potential to become a world-class community,” said Chairman-Elect Oz Nesbitt Sr.

The transition team has already been working and is prepared to hit the ground running on November 14, 2016 to assist with creating a better Rockdale County. The goal as transition commences is to assess and aide in the areas that are crippling to Rockdale County, and enhance the areas that are already effective. Great excitement is accumulating around such hard working volunteers that serve, work, and live in Rockdale County.
