Pennsylvania Audiologists Who Test for CAPD
I am a dually certified, licensed audiologist and SLP who has specialized in CAPD for 22 years in the Philly area. I do CAP evals, SLP evals, and learning disability evaluations on children, adolescents and adults. I'm a professional advisory board member of LDA of PA, a member of CHADD, International Dyslexia Association, and many other organizations. Most of my publications have been invited and are in the area of CAPD. I lecture around the US and am in a private practice outside of Phil, PA. Presently I provide evals and do lots of therapy and educational planning for the children/adolescents I see.
Audiologists:
I am an ASHA certified audiologist who works for Lincoln Intermediate
Unit #12 in York, Adams and Franklin Counties. I am one of three
audiologists in this IU who test students for CAPD. We do a battery of
tests, explain the results to the parents and sit down with the parents
and the school districts to go over test results and maake educational
suggestions. The LIU also offers therapy through our Hearing Support
Teachers or Speech and Language Pathologists for CAPD kids.
I personally have been an audiologist for 25 years and have worked in
this LIU for 17 years. I have been doing CAPD testing for much of that
time. Testing is available free of charge to those students who are
referred by their school districts. In the counties the LIU serves,
this is available to the students. Also inservices and support are
available for more information for parents within our counties on CAPD.
