Rockdale County Public Schools’ theater community has been shining in the spotlight recently with region titles in the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) One Act competitions.
The Heritage High Patriot Players won the Region 3-AAAAAA One Act Championship title for their performance of August Wilson’s “Fences”. They were also awarded Best Ensemble Cast and Crew. Awards received included for Best Actor (Ramone Nelson), Best Actress (Cortlyn Mays) and Best Supporting Actor (Christian Anderson).
Salem High School Theatre won the trophy for the Region 4-AAAA One Act Champions for their performance of “25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”. Awards were also given for Best Supporting Actor (Jordan Moreno), Best Actor (Naz Harvey) and Star Performers (Demetrious Sampson and Kristen Bolton).
