Fetal Pig Dissection
(It's correctly pronounced dis - sect, not die - sect!)

Despite some information on the web to the contrary, fetal pigs are not killed just to provide dissection specimens for biology students. These animals are unborn, and are taken out of the mother pigs at the slaughterhouse. They would otherwise be wasted if biology students did not dissect them. This is an appropriate and useful function.
