When possible, we will show pictures of accidents that we are called to. Click on the thumbnail for a larger view.

It was suggested that we separate the Route 6 wrecks from all the rest to show the number and the severity of the crashes. So, here are the Route 6 Wrecks.

See how your vehicle is rated for crash worthiness by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Mutual Aid to Route 66 in Columbia. Two people transported to hospital by LifeStar helicopter. That white thing in the black car is the hood of the white car.

Try to figure out how this happened. The driver and passenger were out of the vehicle before our arrival and even they didn't know how they got up there. This is a scan of a Polaroid.

The car with the wheel off hit the other car. No injuries but it could have been worse. It was almost a head-on crash.

Drinking and driving and another rollover. The driver just squeezed out of the car prior to our arrival. Good thing there wasn't a passenger. Driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries. Large gas leak.

More drinking and driving. No injuries. Driver was transported to Troop K.

Mutual aid to Hebron. Drinking and speeding. Four young people on board. One taken to hospital by LifeStar, the other three taken by ambulance. That's the back of the car that hit the tree. Imagine if the car hit the tree head on?

Mutual aid to Hebron. Drinking and speeding. Two people on board. One taken to hospital by LifeStar, one taken by ambulance.

Going a bit too fast for the curve. No injuries.
