Custom Personality: Kakita Tsuruke
This is not a conversion of my existing RPG character per se, but rather
a conceptual representation of him based on the Custom Personalities rules
and a little bit of my own Homebrew. He is aligned with the Crane,
but built more or less on a Phoenix template, since the RPG character trained
at the Shiba School through the Different School advantage.

Kenku Troops
The Kenku (AKA Tengu) are my favorite creatures in the L5R setting.
They are a mysterious race of crow-men who usually are solitary, and are
uncomfortable around large groups of people. However, they are known
to be very wise, in fact the Crow itself is a symbol of Shinsei, and many
of these crow-people follow his ways. Frequently they will share
their knowledge with humans, in barter for the supplies they need.
Also, their fingers are adept at using human tools and weapons, and many
are masters of Kenjutsu. In fact, it is said that many of the great
Kenjutsu masters of Rokugan had Kenku for teachers. Who knows what
would bring these solitary teachers into the Clan War? It would be
a dark day indeed that would bring the Kenku to the field of battle, but
by the time the Day of Thunder comes, all manner of strange creature will
have come to the battlefield, on one side or the other, to determine the
fate of Rokugan.
For my Kenku, I use the Tengu models from Ral Partha's Bushido line.
These homebrew stats have not been playtested yet. When I do playtest
them, I will post a report. If you get a chance to playtest them,
and would like to give me feedback, email
me at the address at the bottom of the main page.

Air spell (at standard Koku cost) with a spell rank of Kenku Teacher's
