Hudson's Barometer Inkstand HB 2/2/4

This is the original design for Hudson's Barometric Inkstand in 1861. The Type 2 reservoir has 14 flutes terminating on top in a peak. The Type 2 split stopple assembly, here missing the front, moving half, is made of pewter. This stopple is unmarked. The soft brass standards form a Type 4 pen rack, a rare configuration, with three stations for pens.
