Hull's Revolving Inkstand

This double "snail" represents the confluence of several different patents and manufacturers' production streams. The inkstand was made by Peck, Stow, and Wilcox of Southington, CT, using PS&W bottles structured with trunnions for rotating in journals, and with stopping tabs on the glass and frame standards. These features were patented by various individuals, but the major player was Wolcott Hull of Meriden, CT in the late 1870s.
