CHRISTMAS - A SEASON OF JOY AND LOVE

If I had the gift of being able to speak in other languages without learning them, and could speak in every language there is in all of heaven and earth, but did not love others, I would only be making noise.

If I had the gift of prophecy and knew all about everything, but did not love others, what good would it do?

Even if I had the gift of faith so that I could speak to a mountain and make it move, I would still be worth nothing at all without love.

If I gave everything I have to poor people, and if I were burned alive for preaching the Gospel, but did not love others, it would be of no value whatever.

Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud, never haughty, selfish or rude.

Love does not demand its own way.

Love is not irritable or touchy.

Love does not hold grudges and will hardly even notice when others do it wrong.

Love is never glad about injustice, but rejoices whenever truth wins out.

If you love someone. you will be loyal to him or her, no matter what the cost.

You will always believe in him or her, always expect the best of him or her, and always stand your ground in defending him or her.

Living version 1 Corinthians 13

My only prayer for this joyous season is that you meditate on each verse of this beautiful description of love, let it lead you on a daily path, not only for Christmas, but for every day of your lives.

It is a walk, a pathway if you will, not a conversation piece or just talking about it. It will be your choice, be a way of life for you.

Before you attempt to say I love you, please re-read the above description of love, whether it pertains to a husband, wife, children, lover, friend, seal it in your heart, read it, say it, and above all live by it and the Christmas spirit will be with you, not for a season but the whole year through. All my love.
