COACHING STAFF

The goal of the coaching staff is to create an exciting environment conducive to the development of world-class swimmers and citizens. The coaching staff is dedicated to giving each swimmer the best possible coaching available.  

Tim Wise, starting his sixth year as the Men's and Women's Assistant coach at Yale, also starts his sixth year as Head Coach of OMNI. A graduate of Southern Connecticut State University in 1992, with a degree in Liberal Studies, Tim brings a plethora of college and Age Group coaching experience to OMNI. Tim spent two years out west with two Division I National powers, Arizona State University and Texas A&M University. He came back east in 1996 and spent two years at Southern Connecticut as Head Coach before being hired at Yale. Tim has also coached at USA Swimming clubs Hamden/North Haven Y and Aggie Swim Club. Tim lives in his hometown of Wethersfield with his new bride, Lisa.

Julie Pelczar (Kozloski), starts her third year of coaching with OMNI. She is a graduate of Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY with a degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Environmental Science. She was a four-year member of the Lady Red Foxes and a three-year member of the Metro-Atlantic Athletic Conference All Academic Team. As a freshman, she was awarded the Marist College Swim Team Coaches award. She is a native of Seymour, CT, but currently resides in Branford CT with her husband Peter.

Doug Cucchiarelli a graduate of Fordham University with a degree in General Science, brings a wealth of swimming knowledge and experience to OMNI. While at Fordham he was a four-year member of the men’s swim team and captain his senior year. Before joining OMNI, Doug was head coach at Gunston Middle School in Arlington V.A. held an assistant coaching position at the Larchmont Shore Club in Westchester County, was an assistant for two years at Hamden North Haven YMCA and held the same position for a year at Arlington Aquatic Club. Doug is a middle school science teacher in Trumbull and currently resides in North Haven with his wife Monica.
