FOUR QUALIFY FOR JUNIOR NATIONALS!!!

Congratulations to all the OMNI swimmers on a job well done this past weekend. The men's team finished runner-up as the women's team placed seventh overall. The team combined to place third. Laura O'Brien placed second in the women's Distance High Point competition and Kevin Norman placed 4th, 2 points behind second place for the men's Distance High Point. David Cohen swam under the Junior National time standards in both the 100 and 200 fly while finishing runner-up in both events. The Medley Relay team of Kevin Norman, Seok Jun Lee, David Cohen and Matt Woodfield also made the Junior National standard while finishing 2nd. Kevin took home OMNI's only CT Open championship in the 800 free while Laura O'Brien finished 2nd in the 1500 free and Seok Jun Lee was 2nd in the 100 breaststroke.

SEOK JUN LEE FINISHES FOURTH AT JUNIORS!!

The four person OMNI contingent of Kevin Norman, Dave Cohen, Matt Woodfield and Seok Jun Lee traveled to Oxford, Ohio for the 2000 and final US Junior National meet, August 1-5.

The highlight of the 2000 Juniors for OMNI came on the second night of competition when Seok Jun Lee improved on his 7th place morning swim in the 200 breaststroke with a fourth place finish at night in finals. His time was 2:26.57, one second better than his morning time. Seok also went on to place 14th in the 100 breaststroke. David Cohen, participating in his first Juniors, squeaked into the consolation heat in the morning with a 16th place finish in the 200 fly. He placed fourth in the consolation heat at night and finished 12th overall. Kevin Norman (backstroke) and Matt Woodfield (Freestyle) joined Dave and Seok for the 400 Medley relay on the final night of competition.
