Back by popular demand Uniquely Yours Productions is bringing back its original “Building 157″. This production is full of fun characters that will have you exploding into hysteria. The play features original songs by Uniquely Yours Owner/ Director, Roz Renee’ Cannon, music supported by the sensational band Feedback. The cast is diversely funny with Conyers own; the unforgettable Brittany Martin and Rachel Loyd and Atlanta’s own M3 and More. Mrs. Minnie, the oldest tenant, is hilarious as she interacts and introduces the audience to a diverse group of tenants that live in “Building 157″! Her hilarious interactions with the audience, allows you to feel the drama and turmoil of their lives unfold right before your very eyes. Rest assured, you’ll feel right at home with the tenants of Building 157.
Leading the cast off as the hilarious, witty, and cantankerous Mrs. Minnie, the writer and director of the play, is Roz “Renee’ Cannon. “Uniquely Yours Productions” was started eight years ago with a soul stirring presentation of James Weldon’s Johnson’s, “God Trombone”. In 2008 the Conyers community was inspired when the Conyers Rockdale Council for the Arts brought Uniquely Yours revised and moving rendition of James Weldon’s Johnson’s, “God Trombone”, led by opera star Theresa Hamm-Smith. A veteran actress herself, Roz “Renee’” Cannon, classically trained she knows how to bring life to the stage with her soulful full voice! CRCA and Uniquely Yours are collaborating again with Building 157 where Miss Minnie lets it all hang out”
The play will be held at the Rockdale Auditorium, 903 Main Street, Conyers, GA 30012. The show date is Saturday June 15, 2013, with a 4:00pm matinee and evening at 7:00pm.
