Would you prefer a different locale - please list it here and we'll look into it:
Local H.S. - Farmington HS/ UConn- Fairfield County/ LEARN or other RESC
Is there a topic(s) you'd like covered in one of these institutes? What is it?
Modern physics & particle physics/ Astronomy and astrophysics/ Modern physics or engineering applications/
                    electricity demos./ Electricity and magnetism-labs and demos./ more on CBL's and LABPRO's/
Do you know of any great speakers for these institutes? Please list them:
Harlow Shapley lecture series - astronomers in their field of expertise
Do you have a great make-and-take or demo. you'd be willing to share? Please describe the make-and-take or demo. and we'll
contact you for details. No responses
What are the best parts of the Institutes?
Make and takes, teacher interaction/ information that I can bring back and use in my class/ current information,
collaboration, meeting other teachers/ hands-on-activities/ any interesting lectures connected to the physics I teach/
make and takes/ speakers on current research/ breakaway sessions with keynote speaker/ keynotes,
                    make-and-takes, meeting with other physics teachers/ make-and-takes/ make-and-take, guest speakers are great/
meeting with teachers, learning new methods of teaching, bringing back ideas to the classroom/
What needs improvement?
Communication need improvement/ better promotions - get to coordinators so they see the value of sending teachers/
never use most of the make-and-takes/ more relevance to the classroom/ location and time of meetings-I live 2-3
hours away-why not make it a 2 day conference?
Any comments on any topic relating to physics or our organization:
the organization has done a good job of varying the types of presentations to meet the needs of the membership/ can't
go in fall or spring (coach) - winter is best/
