LIFE IN THE OLD 492ND BARRACKS!

The photos on this page are were taken as we were all brothers in the old but memorable 492nd barracks where we bonded and grew up to become what we are now. I hope you all enjoy these photos and that they bring back the great memories of our time together. Most of the photos are from my album but some were supplied to me by Bob Heubert. I'm hoping that Bob will email me some more so that I can put them up for all of you to enjoy. If anyone else has any photos that were taken at this time, please feel free to send them to me and I will post them on this site. Also, if anyone recognizes anyone in these photos that have not been in contact with me please contact me.

Finally a photo of OKIE in Air Force clothing!

Remember Hueb's Little Blue!

We moved to the following new barracks in late 1957 but they were never the same. The good thing was that they were across the street from the WAF barracks and the view was nice at night when we would turn the lights out to see better!

Here's a place that some of us took some Fort Worth girls on dates. Remember the Base Theater!

I thought I would throw the following photo in too. This is the barracks that many of us stayed in while attending Gunnery school at Lowry AFB in Denver.
