This photo was sent to me by Phil Meng who was the Crew Chief on "5721" in the early fifties. It was taken in North Africa. Phil also sent me the following photos of "5721".
The S/Sgt. with the tail of 5721 in the backround is Phil. The two men on the wing are Phil (shorter one) and Denver R. Scott. Denver was the Crew Chief on "5721" from 1954 until it went to the boneyard at Tucson in February of 1958. After the B-36's retired, Denver went on to be Capt. Bolton's B-52 Crew Chief at Carswell and Columbus AFB, Miss.
