THE WONDERFUL ETHIOPIANS
OF THE ANCIENT CUSHITE EMPIRE

Menes, The Ethiopian Cushite Pharoah, dispells all misconceptions that identify African-Americans as being the descendents of a "race of slaves". About 3000 years before the birth of Christ, Menes combined the Northern and Southern Dynasties in Africa into one country under one government. Quite a feat when one considers that the combined 'kingdom' lasted for more than a thousand years under Ethiopian descendants of Menes. A feat attempted by the Ceasars in Rome-43 years; Alexander the Great of Macedonia-30 years; Adolph Hitler of Germany-12 years. The Dynastic System of Government lasted in Africa for more that 2500 years. An accomplishment that no western nation has even remotely approached. What is now called Egypt was much larger than the geographical boundries of eastern Africa today. The Mediterranean Sea was the Egyptian sea. The Atlantic Ocean was the Ethiopian Ocean in 3100 B.C.
Whoppi Goldberg, an African-American comedian and actress, and James Earl Jones- an actor of some note  were seen on world-wide T.V. agreeing that African-Americans have no culture to speak of and therefore should adopt the culture of the white people in America. Whether one wishes to adopt another's culture is their own business. Not knowing that they themselves have a rich and fruitful culture that has roots that go back thousands of years is pathetic for those in the limelight who are often called upon to represent African-Americans. It is also pathetic that our race in America has been deprived of much knowledge about ourselves.

Drusilla Dungee Houston bravely lays bare the facts of our heritage in her book,The Wonderful Ethiopians of the Ancient Cushite Empire. Hopefully Ms. Goldberg, Mr. Jones and millions of other African-Americans who have been kept in the dark concerning their culture will read it. The author of this review was a junior at Howard University at the time of its publication in the Nile Valley Papyrus.

" Out of anthropology, ethnology, geology, paleontology, archeology, as well as history, I have dug up an irrefutable arsenal of facts that Harvard or Yale or cowardly scholarship dare not refute," wrote Drusilla Dungee Houston, as she referred to the under-recognized, under-celebrated and relatively unexplored history of the ( Black) race, in her time.

The borrowed words of contemporary egyptologist, historian and former civil engineer, Josef A.ben-Jochannan, in reference to his own book, They All Look Alike! All?!  tell that,"This is the only way to begin the text on the pages of history and/or heritage of 'First World (African/Black) People' all over the planet earth" for there is no way in which Truth can be soft peddeled and remain truth. To do this will be to deny one of the most fundemental teachings of ...(the) God Amen-Ra, through his Son of the Sun, Osiris, "Man Know Yourself."                                    See Houston
